Pure Source Nutrition Pea Protein is a low fat, low sugar powder isolated from peas, contains No Animal Products and No Cholestrerol.

Pea Protein contains all of the essential, non-essential and branched chain amino acids. Vegetables can be very high in protein but tend to be limited in certain essential amino acids. Pea protein is unusual in having a good balance of amino acids, similar to that of animal proteins.

The protein requirements of athletes is approximately 1.2-1.8g/kg body weight, compared with 0.8-0.9g/kg body weight for less active individuals. For heavy athletes this extra requirements is especially important. Muscle mass is increased by the rate of anabolism (growth), and decreased by the rate of catabolism (breakdown) during exercise.

Pea protein is not associated with fat or cholesterol, as is the case with many animal based proteins. Pea protein has one of the highest Lysine contents of all vegetable protein - this amino acid is important in maintaining lean muscle mass. When and How to Use

For optimum results use 2-3 servings of Pure Source Nutrition Pea Protein daily. Ideally consume any time during the day as a meal or as post workout drink.


For 1 serving, add 1 level scoop to approximately 350 - 450ml ice cold water or skimmed milk or fruit juice and shake approximately for 1 minute.

Not vegan but I bought this protein with it being free of GMO and the price is really good, was a little worried at first about the taste but it not that bad I just get it down quick, but I did try it with raspberry milk from my local farm and it tasted a lot better best advise it add 1/4 water to protein shaker then add your first scoop shake well then add semi skimmed milk or flavoured milk add another scoop shake well seems to mix really well then. Defiantly recommend as I use to use normal whey isolate this seems to give me more energy I do add 5g of BCCA 2.1.1 as well.

This protein is great except for the taste! Since I am allergic to whey based protein this is a great substitute for me. I have been taking it for two months months (I didn't take any protein before) and I have seen significant gains in my strength and size. I recommend this to anyone one who is either lactose-intolerant or vegan who is looking for a good protein source to supplement into their diet.
